Omar is the Chief Executive Officer for the MAP Institute, which he founded in 2017. The MAP Institute focuses on leadership development both commercially (to grow businesses) and professionally (to sharpen a business leader’s acumen).
In 1998, Omar utilised his skills as a business analyst and software developer and founded a business intelligence & software automation company (WorXSmart and Xray Property P/L). Since then, his company has provided custom software solutions to both a domestic and international audience, including Hong Kong, South-East Asia and New Zealand. Two clients are listed entities (one on ASX, the other on Nasdaq). One of the implementations has facilitated thousands of real estate transactions, totalling billions of dollars.
Omar has had extensive exposure to a variety of industries, including:
• Case management / CRM,
• Domestic residential property development,
• Legal (property law – conveyancing and leasing),
• Manufacturing,
• Petroleum, and
• Mining.
Omar brings a depth of business experience and a high quality network of associates into the MAP Institute. He provides a solid, pragmatic approach to drive solutions. His unique talent is to successfully execute strategies by identifying the strengths and needs of all parties involved. Omar generates win-win scenarios which are beneficial, both economically and culturally, to all stakeholders and he is a vital asset to the MAP Institute.
Being involved in a number of board roles, Omar brings governance and advisory expertise to a range of businesses, both in the startup phase and to more mature businesses along the entrepreneurial business journey. In the role of non-executive director, Omar adds value through strong corporate governance, financial literacy, understanding of operational issues and balancing risk management with strategic execution.
He has a deep and diverse network of contacts and alliance partners which he can draw from to enhance strategic win-win scenarios across multiple industries.
